Green silk ground, on which is couched with gold thread, blue, green, red and yellow silk and white satin, the figure of Christ on the Cross, God, the Father, a dove, the Virgin Mary and St. John. At the foot of the cross, a female saint, probably St. Gudule, carrying a book and the cross. At her feet is the devil. Above the figure of Christ are the letters H.I.R.I. Sewed on the back for stiffening was a fragment of paper on which was the date 1716.
