DescriptionThis cup has a rounded base, straight sides that narrow towards the top, and a straight, unworked rim. The exterior has traces of a pinkish wash (possilby self-washed/self-slipped). It is broken with some pieces missing. The remaining portion has a prominent crack.
ProvenanceFrom Nuri, Pyramid 30 (tomb of a queen?), NW foundation deposit. 1917-1918: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
