Cup is cylindrical with vertical sides, undecorated interior, square handle. Exterior is decorated with grisaille landscape of ruined archway and trees in a square panel. Saucer has a grisaille landscape with cattle, water, and boats in harbor within a square field; also rich gold scrollwork border.

Inscription

Paper label on saucer inscribed: "Sevres. Lucien Bonaparte."
Paper label on cup is overwritten in pencil, "Doccia"

Markings

On underside of saucer: underglaze iron-red star, for Doccia
