DescriptionRaised work; depicting six scenes from the Old Testament including the expulsion of Hagar and Ishmael by Abraham (lower left) and possibly Moses receiving manna from heaven (lower right). Polychrome silk yarns, cotton yarns, pearls, beads, mica and wood (for hands). Soiled and faded; ground worn through in spots; missing yarns and beads. Possibly converted from a box lid.
