DescriptionIntaglio. Significant portion of cylinder is lost. Persian man, wearing leggings, short tunic, and a Persian style headdress (soft hat tied under the chin, with floppy crown), steps forward with a spear against a rearing animal (now lost). Behind the hunter is a prancing horse wearing a saddle blanket and bridle. Scene is set on a ground line.
