DescriptionSilver, formerly gilded, cylinder sheath (originally mounted on silver, now mounted on modern silver cylinder) in two parts: top part with repoussé and engraved decorations, lower part with engraved decorations including cartouche of Queen Amanitakaye; fragmentary and almost complete; bottom missing. See also 21.11744.
ProvenanceFrom Nuri, Pyramid 26 (tomb of Queen Amanitakaya). 1918: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
