The stone is fine-grained and wavy-lined with horizontal veins of brown and white. The base is flat, and the rim is missing. It is broken and mended. Most of the beaker is missing.

From Zawyet el-Aryan, Z 486 x. 1911: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
