This Indonesian dagger and sheath may be a kris. A ceremonial dagger and family heirloom, the kris is associated with male characteristics and a man’s personal heritage. Although the kris is typically noted for its serpentine blade shape, this one is has a straight blade, referred to as Pasopati.
