Long, straight staff now broken into three parts. This number corresponds to the upper half of the staff. It is made from a light-colored wood, that is smoothed, stripped of bark, and undecorated. The top of the staff is rounded, while the bottom (23-12-169b) is squared. There are slight cracks and water stains throughout the shaft of the staff.

From Sheikh Farag (tomb SF5105D), Egypt; 1923: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt.
