DescriptionThis is a lid fashioned of a red-brown clay fabric with a red slip or polish. It is a well formed slightly concave disc shape. This is one of two discovered together.
ProvenanceFrom Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal, tomb 16. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
