Reverse: Elaborate chair or throne to left, arm ending in a ram’s head; sphinx supporting arm. Above, a herm of Hermes. In field at left, a kantharos.
Inscription in field at right.
By 1961: with Hesperia Art, 2219 St. James Place, Philadelphia 3, Pa. (said to be from a small hoard found at Philadelphia in Lydia); December 13, 1961: purchased by MFA from Hesperia Art for $ 1200.-
