Upright limb of R nearer hair, upright limb of T half in advance of hair. 8 near drapery. Legend well above head, date well below bust. Defects behind bust. REV: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around ONE-CENT within laurel wreath, 1/100 below. Words in wreath are wide. T covered by leaf(?). Edges: ONE HUNDRED FOR A DOLLAR[hand-drawn marks]
