Small escutcheon-shaped drawstring bag. Four panels of gold metallic rep ground brocaded with polychrome silk and silver metallic threads.Design is four scenes from ‘Fables of Jean de La Fontaine’ (pub. bet. 1668-95). Silk and metallic galloon binding at panel seams. Blue, yellow and metallic braided drawstring with four tassels. Tassels consist of gold metallic thread knotted over wood core. Salmon silk lining (deteriorated) over paper.
