DescriptionOne piece dress simulating separate skirt and bodice; most of dress made of maroon silk faille with long, modified leg-of-mutton sleeves and facing of standing collar and center front bodice panel and left front skirt panel of maroon velvet; boned bodice, tightly fitted and gooked down the front, coming to deep point at center front; center back of bodice incorporated into short train of skirt, bottom of skirt edged with pleated self-flounce; maroon corded trimming on front edges of bodice, at center back just below waist, around front of skirt, at top of pleated flounce and along left front edge of skirt panel; pink embroidered chiffon ruffles at neck and on sleeves; skirt lined with black glazed cotton, bodice lined with striped sateen.
