DescriptionBlack tulle embroidered with appliqué of black velvet and black silk, black sequins, jet and cut steel beads; bodice fitted, long sleeves with deep bell shaped flounce below elbows, skirt almost straight in front, fullness at back with extra length in back forming train; embroidered design extending over most of dress in pattern of large leaves and rosette-like flowers.
ProvenanceBelonged to Eliza Angell West Gould (son was Marshall Gould). Daughter, Alice Gould Hawes died c. 1910.
