Printed cotton dress with brown ground, picoté with red, divided into roughly lozenge-shaped areas by serpentine small-scale yellow vines, small-scale polychrome flower in center of each lozenge (fabric printed in England or France); dress cut with square neck, continuous pleats center back but stitched in place to waistline, lap over fronts; skirt fullness pleated all the way around, elbow length sleeves; several holes, faded somewhat in front.
