Dress or shift for a child, made in a convent in Mexico City, sent to Rebecca Virginia Moorhead in New York. White linen. Short bodice and sleeves; skirt section gathered in front and back. Narrow bands of drawn-work, with Spanish filling stitches, around neck and sleeves. All edges trimmed with narrow serrated border. Short opening in back, with two mother-of pearl buttons. Linen somewhat yellowed; brown stains on one part of skirt.
