Dress or shift for a child, made in a convent in Mexico City, sent to Rebecca Virginia Moorhead in New York.. White Linen. Finely gathered panels front and back; short sleeves. Narrow bands of cut and drawn-work around short sleeves. Low, wide neckline. All edges trimmed with very narrow serrated border. Near neckline, R.V.M. (Rebecca Virginia Moorhead, grandmother of donor0 embroidered with fine brown silk in cross stitch. Linen yellowed. A number of brown stains.
