Four turned feet and cabriole legs, shaped skirt front and sides. Central fan-carved drawer flanked by square drawers, single long top drawer. Brass escutcheons with bail handles.
Written on back in black paint or ink: "H. Herrick / W. Woodstock / Conn. --Via New Boston / Depot / Conn."
In pencil, written vertically across the back: "... Herrick"
Early history unknown; an inscription indicates that it was probably owned by H. Herrick of West Woodstock, Connecticut, at a later date; owned later by Hazel D. Leonard (d. Nov. 14, 1981) of Leonard's Antiques, Seekonk, Massachusetts; purchased from her estate by the donor in 1982; gift of John Fenn Brill, North Providence, Rhode Island, in 1982 (Accession Date September 29, 1982)
