Red silk velvet upper embroidered with gilt-silver yarns and wire in cross on vamp and trimmed with gilt-silver galloon along top, over side and backseams; latchets with red silk ribbon ties tie over round tongue; red silk binding along top. Round toe. Flat leather heel covered with galloon. Leather sole. Galloon covered welt. Red silk insole, lining. Condition: embroidery worn.

Said to have belonged to pope Pius VII(1800-1823).
