Obverse: Profile bust of Edward VI looking to proper left, wearing a wide-brimmed crown; inscribed at edge “EDWARD·VI·D·G·ANG·FR·ET HIB·REX” and on bust “L.PINGO.F”.

Reverse: Open book at center; inscribed at edge “HEAR·READ·MARK·LEARN” and in exergue “CHRISTS HOSPITAL/INST·MDLIII”.
