White cotton ground covered closely with quilting and chain stitch; done with deep cream-colored silk. In the center is a small circle enclosing pelican and young. This is surrounded by a geometrical ornament outside of which is another ring of huntsmen, archers and animals. The borders have similar devices. This piece was probably made in India for the European market which would account for the European and Eastern motives. Bordered with a white fringe and lined with yellow silk.
