DescriptionFine white muslin on which are embroidered with white cotton and laid-work roses, carnations, forget-me-nots and convolvulors arranged in semicircular groups or scattered like a powder. The curved lower edge is finished with a scallop and a line of drawn-work, above is a border of separate leaves and rosebuds. The other edges are hemmed. 17.1593 and 17.1594 probably cut from the same cape or collar.
