Fragment from sphinx statuette. Small cylindrical fragment with two dressed surfaces: one rounded surface with horizontal lines and one flat surface. Appears to be end of pigtail of nemes headress(?).
From Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal, B501, V 76 VIII 1 debris. 1920: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
