DescriptionA globular-bodied handled jug (or güze) decorated in the "Rhodian" palette. The design is organized into five circumferential registers, with sparse decoration emphasizing the form of the vessel. The upper and lower borders are simply decorated in black. Three of the four polychrome bands of decoration alternate leaf-derived forms in green and raised red. Related simple leaf forms are used in the other area of decoration at the base of the neck, in green, red and blue.
