DescriptionThis worn barrel bead amulet has an incised pattern of Eyes of Horus (wedjats). It is missing a chip.
ProvenanceSaid to be from Egypt, Thebes (Karnak). 1903: purchased for the MFA from Mohamed Mohassib, Luxor, Egypt by Albert M. Lythgoe as part of a group (03.1606-03.1607) for 10 shillings. Acquired with funds from the Emily Esther Sears Fund. (Accession date: January 1, 1903)
