DescriptionObverse: allegorical banquet scene ("Theseus at the court of Aegeus"), gilt decorative border. Reverse: pastoral scene, figures among ruins, gilt decorative border. Vernis Martin ivory sticks: obverse: pastoral scene, woman with bagpipes, man with bird and woman with staff surrounded by chinoiserie motifs; woman with staff on guard; reverse: dog chasing boar among flowers, green background; man with staff on guard. Mother-of-pearl thumbpieces and buttons on rivet.
