Obverse: ” The Drawing Lesson,” stipple engraved scene of tutor and girl with sketch pointing to pineapple plant on table, boy sketching plant, in botanical garden setting; painted flowers with gilt branches to sides, top; gilt decorative borders. Reverse: gilt floral spray center and decorative border, narrow gilt band edging. Eighteen carved, pierced, and painted ivory sticks with gilt details and three pseudo-Jasper blue and white cameos (imitating Wedgwood medallions) in classical motif on blades. Gilt foil backing on guards, mother-of-pearl rings on rivet.
