Double skin leaf. Obverse: center vignette of man showing a man and a young woman oval painting of a young man, columns, balustrade behind, cityscape in background; surrounded by printed “lace” design on blue striped background with flowering vines; fly on lace right. Reverse: picture of couple seated surrounded by printed “lace” on blue stylized background, gilt border, in center of leaf; blue shading along top, narrow gilt band at bottom. Twenty-three carved and pierced ivory sticks, gilt details; court scene with musicians center blades, figures on guards; burgouté mother-of-pearl backing on blades, gold foil backing on guards. Diamond paste studs in rivet.
