Fan with painted vellum leaf. Obverse: center vignette of three soldiers right woman and servant with breadbasket left pastoral setting; lace motif on blue/gold floral checked background fills out leaf. Reverse: center cartouche with two vignettes, man playing instrument left inscribed “L’Acreable” and “Tho. Vincenti Pinx Neap. 1758,” pastoral scene with bridge right; lace pattern on purple lattice background fills out cartouche. Gilded green paper binding. Carved ivory sticks with gilded Chinese figures, blue painted lattice behind, mica backing on guards. Diamond paste studs on rivet; brass ring (not original). Condition: leaf shortened and two blades overlapped at right.
