Single leaf of green silk, backed by net. Painted and decorated with sequins and spangles, and decoupé to show net backing. Sticks of imitation blonde tortoise shell, incised and painted with gilt and silver paint and encrusted with imitation jewels. Brass ring and green paste jewel at rivet. Signed by the artist, central cartouche, left: “Martinel.” Signed “E. Kees” on left reverse guard.
