Psi type. Mycenaean female votive figure. Broad shallow headdress, head featureless except for painted nose and eye; upper body crescent-shaped with narrow vertical stripes; broader vertical stripes on skirt. Buff clay, reddish-brown paint.

Provenance

According to the acquisition paperwork: said to have been found with 54.42-44 in a grave in Attica; by 1954: with Charles L. Morley, Oberalpina, St. Moritz, Switzerland; purchased by MFA from Charles L. Morley, February 5, 1954, for $ 200.00 (the total price for MFA 54.42-54.45)
