Catchplate formed of sheet silver folded over; ridge at joint with narrow part of bow which widens out to second ridge and broad curving band with recessed area for (missing) inlay. Slender beveled shaft, with knobs at ends and groove at center where stump of pin remains, is attached perpendicularly to the end of the band.
