Originally gilded. Bowed body has beveled sides and central groove with beaded wite set in. Ridges around edge connecting with catch-plate. Shaft with knobbed ends perpendicular to bow contains root of pin. Traces of gilding overall, especially on shaft knobs, central groove and beading and back of catch-plate.
