Doll-like figure, articulated, carved of wood, dressed with high boots with black fur tops and embroidered decoration; fur jacket with embroidered panels on front; shirt with embroidered decoration; black/blue head band, with hair in pony tail wrapped in blue cloth; carrying separate baby in green check shirt within hood on back.

Provenance

Acquired by the donor's husband, from local residents, while on a visit to Greenland in 1942.
