This small limestone figurine depicts a bound captive with a peaked cap. Modeling is extremely undetailed, but the overall shape parallels other figures that depict captives with both legs and arms, bent back and tied behind. are bent back and tied to the arms behind him. The lower portion is broken off.

Provenance

From Tell Dafana (Daphnae), found in the desert east of the Kasr. 1886: excavated by William Matthew Flinders Petrie for the Egypt Exploration Fund, assigned to the EEF by the Egyptian government; presented to the MFA at EEF fifth annual general meeting; sent over June 1, 1887. (Accession date: June 1, 1887)
