DescriptionThere is a thick mass of hair around the face. The extended right hand holds a patera, and the left holds the end of the cloak which goes around the neck, over both shoulders. Smooth light-green patina, with hard (calcium) earth deposit on much of the surface.
ProvenanceBy 1887: with Luigi Boccanera (said to be from the sanctuary of Diana at Nemi); March 25, 1888: purchased by R. Lanciani from Luigi Boccanera; purchased by MFA from R. Lanciani, 1888, for $493.92 (this figure is the total price of MFA 88.538–88.644 and 89.9–89.31)
