DescriptionThis cup is fashioned of a somewhat coarse light redware fabric. Straight sides widen from a flat base to a straight, flared rim. It is broken with pieces missing, and the rim is chipped. No surface treatments are evident.
ProvenanceFrom Nuri, Pyramid 8 (tomb of Aspelta), SW foundation deposit. 1916-1918: Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
