The circular salver, formed from sheet, has a chased gadrooned border. It rests on a raised trumpet foot with a similar gadrooned rim.

Inscription

ARMORIALS: engraved in center, the crest of Brykes or Pigot.
SCRATCHES: scratched on underside "3112".

Markings

On face of salver, maker's mark JW (Bennett, p. 171, no. 325); harp crowned (repeated on underside of foot); date letter L (1696-98).
