Fragment (bird cut from ground). Ground: dark reddish brown wool, completely cut away around the design. Design: worked with wool, in crewel stitch, a flying bird, with black body, greenish yellow, and yellow bill, yellow legs with dark green feet, pink marks near eye, zig-zag lines and tips of cream color on tail with blocks of green and yellow, and red and blue checks on wings.
