DescriptionFragment from a crewelwork valance or bed curtain; hemmed at bottom; mostly embroidered in Roumanian couching or New England laid stitch, except thin stems in stem stitch and strawberries in woven stitch; strawberries, two swans, two flowers, and a butterfly within green, blue, and yellow striped mound; three blue flower centers on left with black lamb at top and remnants of beige lamb on right; holes where flower was originally embroidered on far right
