This is a fragment of the shoulder, neck, and rim. The stone is pink with harder white patches. The pink stone is decayed in some areas. The base is missing, and the rim is plain. Three incised horizontal lines decorate around the neck. Most of the jar is missing.
From Nubia (Sudan), Kerma, KIII, St. 1(3). 1913: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
