DescriptionGround: fine light neutral colored linen. Design: worked in many colored silks, horizontal band bordered by geometric pinks worked in crimson green, blue and cream silk through the center of the band is a row of hexagonal compartments connected by straight lines and squares enclosing stars, worked in satin stitch with crimson silk. Conventionalized angular trees, grow up and down from hexagonal and square compartments. Pairs of angular conventionalized birds perch on alternate trees. Jars with conventionalized plants in the spaces between. Colors: crimson, blue, neutral blue, greenish blue, green, neutral yellow, brown, cream, and a little dark violet. Stitches: darn, satin, cross, plait, and chain. Pieced.
