Warp of linen, ground of brownish-violet wool; on this is a powder of leaf-like forms resembling spades woven with black wool. Sewed on to a piece of heavy yellow woolen cloth. “Part of a dress of a woman, perhaps a Syrian. Found not far from San (Zoan); she was mummified and wrapped in her clothes and laid in a basket of rushes. Period probably about 300 A.D.”.
