Warp of linen; ground of square ornament of plum-colored wool; design of natural-colored linen, with interlacing stems and vine leaves in plum-colored wool, woven into a piece of natural-colored linen fabric. Details are executed with a flying shuttle. Interlaced designs of similar motifs are represented in late Roman and early Christian mosaics.
