Warp, cotton; weft, cotton; three weft shoots between each row of knots; pile, wool; thirty-six Persian (Sehna) knots to a square centimeter. On a dark red ground is a design of animals’ heads swallowing smaller animals; between these are flowering trees and plants. The colors of the design include tans, greens, blues, white, violet, and black.
