DescriptionThe warp is linen, the ground of the main area is in red wool and that of the border is in natural-colored linen; the design represents two mounted horsemen hunting animals; woven with red, yellow, green, blue and brown wool and natural-colored linen. The border shows a scrolled branch with leaves on opposite sides; design shows Byzantine influence. Much worn.
