DescriptionFragment of a skirt border, composed of two fragments which were probably originally from the same skirt. Silk yarns on linen and cotton ground. Design shows birds and carnations flanking urns and flowers, two double-tailed mermaids and one bicephalous eagle; a border of birds(roosters?) flanking flowers alternating with carnations flanking crowns runs along the lower edge. Three sides cut; right side ends in selvedge.
