DescriptionThe stone is fine-grained and wavy-lined with a spot of opaque white. There is no ring on top. The base is missing, and the rim is inverted. Only this upper body fragment of the jar remains.
ProvenanceFrom Egypt, Menkaura (Menkaura) Valley Temple, Giza. 1911: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
