DescriptionThis is a semi-circular (just over half?) fragment of a strainer made of a red clay fabric that has fired mostly black. I may have been used as an insert in a vessel. Twenty holes are preserved.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery S, grave 2900. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
